About SRA

SRA does not intend to function as a “Bible translation” organization,

though the work of SRA associates, especially in their renderings and analyses of Scripture texts, 

will be of great value in preparing translations in new and existing world languages. 

SRA functions to provide assistance and training to ministries and individuals 

who are engaged in developing translations of the Scriptures for the peoples of the world.

SRA fields the questions and assistance requests from translators, 

regardless of the particular receptor language involved, and then communicates that need 

to the SRA member, or members, best able to fulfill the request.

Such multi-language interaction will necessarily require that certain SRA associates develop 

working abilities in linguistics, in other languages, and in the interrelationships among languages. 

These SRA members may receive remuneration to cover the cost of this advanced study, 

as funds are available. 

SRA provides assistance to translators by direct and indirect interactions 

through email, live internet communications, and other media, while minimizing travel to field locations, 

thus allowing associates to interact with multiple needs simultaneously 

while preparing materials which will be available to all.
